We want to hear from readers. A correction can fix a mistake that would otherwise travel further. A story tip can point us to something we would have missed.
Corrections
If you believe a page contains an error, email contact@lidnews24.com with the page address and the specific detail that needs checking. If you can, include the evidence that supports your correction and a way for us to contact you.
We will check the claim, update the page if needed, and explain the change. We do not remove errors silently.
Story tips
For a story tip, tell us what happened, where and when it happened, and who else may be able to confirm it. Links, documents, and photographs can help, but please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the story.
What to include
- Your name and a way to reach you, unless you need to remain anonymous.
- The page address for a correction.
- The specific detail or claim you are asking us to check.
- Any documents or links that help us verify the information.
- Whether there is a deadline or a safety concern we should know about.
Privacy and safety
Please do not send passwords, banking details, or private information about another person unless it is essential. If your tip involves a risk to someone’s safety, say so clearly in the first message.
What happens next
We read every message, but we cannot promise to reply to all of them or to investigate every tip. We aim to respond to corrections within two working days. A tip may be passed to another part of the newsroom if it is not something we can cover.
This is a newsroom guide, not a news report. It explains how to contact us and what to expect.
